Visual Poems and Actostics

In this month's event, we wrote acrostic poems with the themes that a poet from our country used extensively in his poems.

We also turned some of our poet's poems into visual poems.

By clicking the link below, you can find the e-book in which we compile acrostic and visual poem works of each country.

January/February Activity: Our Poets

We use Google Slides to present a national poet (biography and literary work) to our partners. Students will write visual poems or acrostics with words related to that poets' literary work.

Here is the link to the Google Slides that we use. We filled in the slides regarding our country.

2nd Meeting of the Partners

We held our second meeting at the beginning of the second semester at 09/02/2022.

Finally, each school had illustrated the folk tales of the country they matched with and these stories were uploaded to twinspace.

At the beginning of the second term, we first reviewed our project plan.

Then we planned our next activity, the poetry activity, and exchanged views on the mixed groups we will do in the activity in March.

Folk Tales of World

As you know, all partners have illustrated the folk tales of their matched partner. We all enjoyed this activity and learned lots of tales of world.
We have collected these folk tales in a book and we are sharing the link here for you to read.
We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

For The Love of Lit Project - Presentation

The significant impact of Covid-19 pandemics in education and the consequent lockdowns made our students turn to digital practices and many have put books aside. It's important to bring them back to reading books, important products of human culture and heritage. With this perspective in mind, school librarians and teachers will work together to enhance the students’ enjoyment of reading books through the use of technology.
Our project aims at fostering students' reading and writing skills both in English and their mother tongue, as well as to develop communicative skills, critical thinking, creativity and ICT skills.
Students will learn about each other's culture and significant authors, discover their partner's folk tales and illustrate them, create discussion groups/forums according to their reading preferences and share their thoughts, write poetry and collaborative stories, create bookmarks, eBooks, and digital games.
